Intervention on the wall of the Botanic and Tropical Garden until 2018

May Not Load is a Project by Robert Panda which has Friendship as theme of its first chapter and is presented February 18th 2017 at 18h at Travessa da Ermida with an installation inside the Ermida and a Urban Intervention in the street.  March 8th at the end of the exhibition in Ermida two sculptures will be placed outside to interact with the different passing-by publics. Robert Panda grants us his perspective through an installation with a sculptural element and a video where he tells us stories with strong connections and that are part of his memory. Friendship is the Chapter I of a Project in which Panda shows us his crude and cynical vision of relationships and eventually you … May Not Load.

Robert Panda (1982) is a Portuguese artist who started his path in the graffiti underworld in the suburbs of Lisbon. His sculptural street installation project titled “Stupid – Because All People Are!”, a philosophical approach to contemporary apathy in urban societies, is based on the placement of friendly, stylised anthropomorphic figures crafted from materials such as paper and adhesive tape, fibreglass, or cement in various locations to surprise and interact with passers-by. His thought-provoking work has also been presented at a variety of art festivals and events.
